Can fly through the air
The flying fish can actually fly straight through the air, there is no other fish that can do that in the same Exocoetidae family.

This fish has many other lurking fishes that look for it as food. The list includes birds, dolphins & squids.
Appearance
The upper side of the flying fish body is a blueish grey color. Their belly is grayish to silver.
They have a forked tail and the lower piece of the tail is longer than the top piece.

Flying fish are known to be commercially caught in Japan. They’re also caught while fishing in China & Indonesia.
The methods used are called “dipnetting” and afterwards the fish are preserved with drying them out.
Tao people are known to use the flying fish as a staple to their diet.
